Research

As the department has grown in size, so has our commitment to basic science and clinical research. Our physicians and researchers are dedicated to building a strong foundation in musculoskeletal research to help us with our mission of providing excellent patient care and teaching the future leaders of healthcare.

Research Highlights

Our faculty members participate in a number of research opportunities and often find themselves published in academic texts and peer reviewed journals, as well as presenting at regional, national, and international meetings. Click here to learn about some of our recent highlights.

    Willett Regenerative Labs

In the musculoskeletal field, a limiting factor in addressing unmet clinical needs has been that the musculoskeletal system is often studied and treated as independent tissues rather than functionally integrated units. Our overall research focuses on a systems integration approach to musculoskeletal disease and regenerative engineering by applying novel imaging and engineering approaches to mechanistic biology problems.
