Dr. Wise is a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and received his B.S. from Penn State University in 2007. He completed medical school at the University of Florida (2011) where he graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society in addition to receiving multiple awards including the College of Medicine Award for Academic Excellence, Professionalism, and Humanism and the W.F. Enneking Orthopaedic Surgery Teaching Award. After medical School, Dr. Wise completed internship and orthopaedic surgical residency at Emory University and was elected to serve as Administrative Chief Resident and selected to attend the American Orthopaedic Association’s resident leadership forum.

He continued subspecialty training, completing a fellowship at the prestigious R Adams Cowely Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He received an AO Trauma North America Fellows Research Grant for his study on predicting post-operative infection risk, and he is currently involved in multiple research projects focusing on the prevention of infection, nonunion, and other post-operative complications. He has had several research publications and presentations, and has a great interest in resident education.
