BiographyDr. Patel joined Emory with a board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship training with interventional pain management. His career is focused on an interdisciplinary approach to diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal conditions. He has received extensive training in the use of fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided injections of the spine and peripheral joints.
Prior to joining Emory he was involved with resident and medical student education through teaching physical exam and ultrasound skills. He remains active on a national level by serving on the patient safety committee for the Spine Intervention Society in which he develops recommendations to maximize safety in patient care. He has published multiple articles and presented at national conferences in musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Patel is driven to find the best treatments available for his patients to improve their quality of life and function.
