Biography

Hassan Monfared, MD, is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Pain Medicine.  He practiced at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB); PM&R and Anesthesiology Departments; from 2004 to 2010. Dr. Monfared joined Emory in 2010. He won multiple teacher of the year awards for the Department of PM&R residency program at UAB and Emory. Currently, Dr. Monfared is the PM&R Residency Program Director in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at Emory School of Medicine. He served as a Chief Resident at MetroHealth Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University, PM&R Department. Dr. Monfared was awarded Fellow of the Year, Cleveland clinic foundation, Anesthesiology Department, Pain Medicine Division. He Practiced as an orthopedic surgeon in IRAN prior to move to Unites States, from 1994 to 1997.
