Dr. Labib specializes in problems of the knee, foot and ankle. Dr. Labib started practicing at Emory in 1999. Special interests include cartilage repair, joint reconstruction and joint replacement, and sports injuries.  He is the head team physician for the athletic programs at Oglethorpe University, Spelman College, and Georgia Perimeter College. He is also an orthopaedic consultant to the Atlanta Falcons,  Georgia Tech and Emory University.

Dr. Labib’s research focus includes cartilage allograft in the treatment of cartilage defects, gait analysis and outcome studies of total ankle arthroplasty, Achilles tendon rupture repairs, and knee ACL reconstruction. His research has been published in several journals, including the American Journal of Orthopedics. Dr. Labib has lectured both nationally and internationally at orthopaedic meetings.
